The Kanjanji Orphan Project is operating from the Zamulimu (which means "For God" or "belongs to God") Base in West Zambia.
Kelvin in his garden. We have 4 x 5000 litre water tanks for the grass and gardens, and Kelvin makes the most of it. He manages to feed a lot of children, vulnerables and poor people from the villages.
Kelvin has also planted some maize, but the hippos are a big problem since we are on the river.
Our local leaders often come for some prayers and minor issues like helping with a broken ox cart or a broken pump, etc.
These are the grade 8 and 9 orphans that come for tuition on Saturdays and giving a hand on the base. They also get a free meal and most of the times, a cake . Hope is teaching the girls some baking skills and I do the needle work teaching.
Snakes are very common at Zamulimu. This is a black Mamba - one of the most venomous snakes in Africa!
The Zamulimu base is situated 50 km from Sesheke op the banks of the beautiful Zambezi River.
